KEY FEATURES Navlink Blue is an innovative gateway that allows Bluetooth sensors to connect directly to the boat’s NMEA 2000 network. With it, compatible Bluetooth sensors become true NMEA 2000 instruments, whose data can be displayed on compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays. Navlink Blue ensures communication between Bluetooth sensors and the NMEA 2000 network. You can connect up to 16 sensors at the same time to Navlink Blue. This makes it possible to easily integrate modern wireless sensors into an existing marine installation, without adding additional dedicated instruments. Navlink Blue is powered directly by the NMEA 2000 network. Simply connect it to the NMEA 2000 network and it becomes immediately operational. Pairing with Bluetooth sensors is simple and fast thanks to its web interface. Thanks to the Bluetooth wireless connection, adding new sensors requires no complex wiring or modifications to the installation, greatly simplifying the upgrade and modernization of onboard electronics. In addition, when you power the network back on, the pairing reconnects automatically USE CASES Navlink Blue is continuously evolving to integrate new Bluetooth sensors and expand onboard instrumentation possibilities. For developers, a Software Development Kit (SDK) is available on GitHub to access raw NMEA 2000 data and enable the development of third-party solutions. Please Note: For charting apps such as Navionics, AquaMap, TZ iBoat etc, NMEA support is via NMEA to WiFi devices such as our NavLINK 2. BT is not supported. Here are some examples of use cases: Calypso: Wireless Wind Vane Anemometer Calypso Instruments produces wireless ultrasonic wind sensors with an integrated solar panel, offering a range of up to 30 m. By connecting a Calypso ultrasonic wind vane-anemometer to Navlink Blue, you can receive wind data directly on the NMEA 2000 network, without having to run cables through the mast. The Calypso wind vane can be used as a primary sensor or as a backup sensor. The battery level of the Calypso wind vane is also transmitted to the NMEA 2000 network, allowing you to monitor its status directly from your chartplotter. Ruuvi: Temperature, humidity and pressure sensor The RuuviTag and RuuviTag Pro sensors measure temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure. By connecting them (up to 16 simultaneously) to Navlink Blue, you can display environmental data directly on NMEA 2000 compatible chartplotters. They are ideal for monitoring:• engine room temperature• the temperature of a refrigerator or freezer• changes in atmospheric pressure Up to 8 days of data history are available in the app, even when the NMEA 2000 network is turned off. Water Presence sensor The water presence sensor features a 5-year battery life and a Bluetooth range of up to 150 m (492 ft). It triggers a built-in alarm as soon as water is detected and can be installed very quickly. By connecting the sensor to the NAVLink Blue, you can receive water detection alerts directly on compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays. It allows you to monitor the bilge or any technical compartment on the boat. The sensor status (battery level, operating status, etc.) is also transmitted to the NMEA 2000 network. Mopeka: Bottle level sensor Mopeka sensors measure the fill level of various tanks on board. Installation is simple: the sensor attaches directly underneath the tank, and the sensor battery has a lifespan of up to 4 years. For metal propane or butane tanks, Mopeka measures the gas level and iscompatible with metal cylinders and tanks. For plastic or aluminum tanks containing liquids, Mopeka can measure the level of fresh water, black water, oil, or fuel. They are compatible with plastic or aluminum tanks. By connecting the Mopeka sensor to Navlink Blue, you can receive tank level data (water, gas, etc.) directly on your chartplotter and multifunction display. NMEARemote : iPhone & iPad apps Although the primary purpose of Navlink Blue is to convert BT sensor data to your NMEA 2000 network, it also works in the opposite direction. The NMEA Remote iOS app is the first navigation application to accept NMEA data via BT, rather than via Wi-Fi like most other apps. This means that with Navlink Blue, you can receive NMEA 2000 data via BT directly on your iPad or iPhone. OPERATION The configuration of NavLink Blue is done through a simple and intuitive web interface, thanks to the simultaneous operation of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. This interface allows you to add new sensors and modify certain parameters of connected sensors. The “Settings” page enables monitoring of NMEA 2000 network parameters, including connected devices, transmitted messages, and exchanged data. The interface also allows you to perform NavLink Blue software updates.
