Physalis peruviana (Cape Gooseberry) Organically Grown 12cm Pot

The Cape Gooseberry is grown for its small, vibrant orange fruits encased in delicate papery husks. They taste like a mix of gooseberry and tropical fruit and can be eaten straight from the plant, used in preserves or salsa, or added to cakes and desserts as a decorative garnish. Each plant can produce up to 1 kg of vitamin C rich fruits. Although widely cultivated in South Africa( hence the name) this plant actually originates from Peru. It’s a perennial that’s easy to grow from seed, typically sown each year like tomatoes for better yields. Supplied in a 12cm pot
